President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo has urged Ghanaian born Chelsea footballer Callum Hudson-Odoi to play for Ghana.
He asked Callum to switch nationality so he can play for Ghana when the young man paid a courtesy call to the President at the Jubilee House on 7th June 2021.
In a post by the President on social media monitored by pinaxnews.com, the President disclosed that he urged the Minister of Youth and sport to explore the possibility of having Callum switch nationality and play for the Black Stars.
”On Monday, 7th June 2021, Ghanaian-born Chelsea footballer, Callum Hudson-Odoi, paid a courtesy call on me at Jubilee House, the seat of our nation’s presidency. Amongst others, I urged the Minister for Youth and Sports to explore the possibility of having Callum switch nationality, and play for the Black Stars”, his post read.
