Aisha Buhari, the first lady of Nigeria has deactivated her twitter account after the Federal Government of Nigeria announced the suspension of twitter’s operation in Nigeria.
Aisha announced the deactivation of her account on twitter when the Nigerian government disclosed that its suspending twitters operation.
Announcing the deactivation of her account she wrote; ”I will be deactivating my account for now. Long live Federal Republic of Nigeria”.
As at Saturday morning Nigerians couldn’t the social media site, except Virtual Private Network (VPN) providers who afford the opportunity to establish a protected network connection when using public networks.
In other news twitter has reacted to the ban on its operation in Nigeria by the Nigerian government and has said that it is investigating the issue.
