Mr. Edward Akufo-Addo,Businessman and Managing Director Amaadi Cold stores Limited who is equally the blood brother of President Nana Addo Dankwah has sued , Accra FM’s Radio Host Kwabena Bobbie Ansah, Class Media Group and two others for defamation.
Kwabena Bobbie Ansah is the 1st Defendant and Class Media Group is the 2nd Defendant, 3rd defendant Mensah Thomson the executive director of Alliance for Social Equity and Public Accountability (ASEPA). Listowell Nana Kusi-Poku happens to also be a defendant.
He is seeking GHS10,000 damages for defamation contained in publication by defendants on 29/o5/2025.
The Plaintiff who is the younger brother of Nana Addo stated that during discussions on a Political talk show dubbed ‘The Citizen Show” aired on Accra FM, the defendants made false and malicious statements about him.
The statement of claim said the 3rd defendant, who allegedly made the allegation, “touts himself as the Executive Director of a group called the Alliance for Social Equity and Public Accountability (ASEPA), whereas the fourth defendant also touts himself as the Executive Director of a group called the Good Governance and Advocacy Group Ghana.”
The plaintiff says during the discussion, the 3rd and 4th defendants aided and encouraged by the second defendant alleged that the plaintiff, who is President Akufo-Addo’s younger brother uses the presidential jet, also known as ‘the Falcon’ for his personal trips.
Edward Akufo-Addo insists that the claims are false and are only meant to drag his name in the mud.
