Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and his wife Samira Bawumia were present at the funeral of late former General Secretary of the NPP, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie to pay their last respect.

The funeral rites were performed at his hometown, Sakora-wonoo on Thursday 3rd June 2021.
Upon arriving at the funeral grounds, Dr. Bawumia and his wife were welcomed by the people of Sakora-wonoo which is located in the Ashanti region of Ghana.
Top dignitaries will be expected to pay their last respect because he was a politician who occupied political positions.
He was born in 1957 and died on July 1 2020. Prior to his death he was the CEO of Forestry Commission of Ghana.
